"...and I'd like to thank the Academy"

This post is only about two weeks belated, but hey….at least I’m posting it at all. The statutory of limitations is not up yet for using the recent hurricanes as an excuse for procrastinating, so I’m going with that one. When the reality is that there is a serious lack of humor in this general area, which is – in fact – due to the hurricanes. Major disasters tend to put the folks of the gulf coast in a funk, so forgive me for neglecting my responsibility for the funny.

That being said, I would like to present you with my acceptance of this blog award that was given to me by the lovely Claire. (Who I, in turn, award her with this as well. She is an incredibly talented writer, and I am almost fluent in latin because of reading her blog.) And in keeping with the standard of laziness that I have exhibited as of late, I will quote she who awardeth:

seven OTHER blogs that I find captivating/wonderful/sufficiently awesome that my
brain gives me two minutes of peace.

That someone would even CONSIDER nominating me for anything other than a prescription for anti-psychotic medication is baffling, but I accept it proudly. And without further adieu, I hereby award the following blogs with the coveted Brillante Weblog, for they provide endless amounts of my time away from work:

2. Be The Boy: It would be remiss of me not to mention Will, as he and his wife were pivotal in my decision to start my own blog. As you will learn quickly, he has the COOLEST. PARENTS. EVER.

3. The Daily Slack: As mentioned in #3, this is Will's wife. Brilliant writer. Best boobs of any blogger I know. You're welcome, Nina.

4. New York Dactyl: Because she's my friend, and a brilliant photographer.

5. Stray Raisins: Hilarious mommy blogger with a potty mouth. My favorite combination.

6. Superhero Sewing Circle: Because I love it when something this smart comes out of something this beautiful.

7. Helmet's Blogapalooza: Because men bloggers need love too.

And now for the rules:

1. The winner can (and should, really) put the logo on his/her blog
